Use the wheel rather than three color names
The creator points to a 360-degree HSL color wheel and requires advances smaller than 90 degrees. Thinking only in broad red, green and blue categories can skip too far. Compare the next balloon with the current hue and remember that the sequence wraps around the wheel.
Coordinate selection with the jump
The input is a click to jump, while the puzzle concerns which balloon comes next. Identify an acceptable color before committing a jump when possible. This separates a wrong choice of hue from an input-timing mistake when reviewing why a collection failed.
Reset your mental sequence after an error
A mistake decrements the score and sends the color sequence back to red. Read that changed state before aiming at another balloon. Continuing the sequence you intended before the error can create another incorrect choice even if that color would otherwise have followed your previous plan.
