ACTION NOTEBOOK / ROLL, DASH & REWIND

Small action games: learn the second action.

A weapon is only part of these games. Bounce Back has a protective dash, Space Huggers has a roll with several uses and Egg Time Rewind brings earlier lives back after death. Learn what changes outside the shot itself.

KEEP IN MIND

  • Follow the weapon after a throw.
  • Learn dash or roll in clear space.
  • Read the active objective.
  • Distinguish a rewind from a manual reset.
  • Use the game’s own progress controls.

Track the boomerang after throwing it

Bounce Back uses WASD movement, mouse aim and a click to throw. Follow the weapon’s path while deciding where to stand next. The creator notes that a lost boomerang is enlarged on the map. That is a concrete recovery cue when the next throw is not immediately available.

Practice the dash away from an enemy

Bounce Back’s Space boost protects the player from damage according to its README. Find room to learn how it moves before relying on it at close range. A dash can help create space, but its existence does not guarantee that an unfamiliar route is safe. Watch the destination as well as the obstacle you are leaving.

Give Space Huggers’ roll its own attention

Space Huggers documents X or middle click for rolling. The creator says it briefly protects the player, deals damage and puts out fire. Shooting is on Z or left click, and grenades use C or right click. Learn these separate actions before mixing them around destructible or explosive scenery.

Read the mission rather than counting shots

Space Huggers asks you to clear the enemies in the active level, and its lower radar reports nearby threats. SQUAD 13 instead asks you to maneuver a helicopter to the landing zone without crashing. Both have firing inputs, but those inputs do not define the whole objective. Read the current mission status before deciding what to do next.

Observe what returns after an Egg Time death

Egg Time Rewind’s creator says previous lives return to help after death. Manual reset remains a separate R-key input. Watch a natural rewind before assuming it discards the same state as a fresh reset. Its documented persistent record is the high score; a retained score and a live encounter are different kinds of progress.

Keep saved progress in the correct game

Bounce Back documents retained gems and the highest level reached. Egg Time Rewind documents a high score. Neither statement alone establishes a portable full-session save, and Ported2Browser’s Saved button only keeps profile links. Use the original host’s own menu when a pause, export or reset matters.
