Space Huggers.

Fight through procedurally generated outposts in a run-and-gun game by Frank Force. Space Huggers pairs shooting with a roll, grenades and destructible scenery. The creator documents local controller co-op, enemy types and a radar; the immediate task is to clear the enemies in the active level.

The roll has several uses

The README says rolling briefly protects the player, damages enemies and puts out fire. Treat it as a movement tool worth learning alongside shooting. Practice in a clear space before combining it with a jump or a hazardous encounter. The more advanced techniques described by the creator are not a substitute for learning that basic timing.

Scenery affects the fight

The project distinguishes burnable crates, water barrels, explosive containers and rocks. A nearby object can change what happens when you fire or throw a grenade. Observe a single interaction before starting another; a chain of explosions can be harder to read than a direct exchange with an enemy.

Check the actual mission state

Enemy radar and the remaining enemies matter more than simply moving farther to the right. The creator describes an endless sequence of levels and offers the first five as a personal challenge. That is a suggested target, not a claim that this profile has completed five levels or verified every co-op setup.
