RPG / WEB-NATIVE

JS-like.

JS-like is Ondřej Žára’s JavaScript roguelike, described by its creator as inspired by ADOM. The published source includes a village story, a tutorial and an interface with a map, command panel and status area. Start by reading the visible commands and current messages. This is an older independent project, so keep the actual running interface as the reference for input and compatibility.

KEEP THIS HANDY

Controls at a glance.

Arrow keys
Move; inspect the current command list for all directional options.
?
Display all available commands.
L / Z
Enter Look mode with L; use arrows to inspect, then Z to return to play.
Comma / I
Pick up an item with comma; open inventory with I.

Inspect before acting

The tutorial documents ? for all commands and L for Look mode. While observing, the game pauses and arrow keys move a cursor; the top message window describes the selected object. Press Z to return to play. This gives you a way to inspect a being’s attitude before treating it as an enemy and to identify an unfamiliar map object before moving toward it.

Let the village introduce the systems

The published loader starts the village story, and the source also includes a tutorial. Read the local context and messages as you explore. The code contains quests, items, equipment slots and status values, but this profile does not turn that list into a tested progression route or promise that every implemented feature works identically in a current browser.

Check a save before relying on it

Save/load states exist in the reviewed source. That is narrower evidence than a restored campaign on a second browser. If the running interface offers an export, keep the original copy and verify that a restored record actually contains the expected character state. This site’s Saved shortlist only retains the profile link.

BEFORE YOU CLOSE THE TAB

What happens to your progress?

The source contains save/load command states. A successful current-browser restore and cross-device compatibility were not tested; keep any exported record separately before changing browser data.
