ADVENTURE / WEB-NATIVE

it's a(door)able.

It’s a(door)able is Nicky Case’s small Valentine’s Day game about reaching a key and a door. The creator describes it as a one-minute minigame and publishes the original code and artwork. Movement uses the keyboard, and the sequence records actions for a later rewind and replay. Open it as a brief standalone game rather than expecting a long campaign or a level editor.

Learn the movement in a small scene

The source updates movement from the left, right, up and down input states. Make a short move and watch the character before tracing a longer route. The scene gives you a key and a door to inspect, so the opening task stays concrete without requiring a large inventory or an extensive list of commands.

Let the sequence play out

The source records frames and implements rewind and playback stages. Once those stages begin, watch the result instead of assuming the game has stopped responding to movement. This entry keeps the final presentation undescribed; the short recording and replay are part of the authored sequence rather than a general-purpose saved campaign system.

Keep a shared message public-safe

The final screen offers a personal message and a generated link. Treat any text placed in a shareable URL as something its recipient can read and forward. The game’s original art and code are public domain, while the README separately credits music with a noncommercial licence. This profile links to the creator’s version and does not redistribute its audio.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before the next click.

How long is the game?

The creator describes it as a one-minute minigame; your own reading and movement pace can vary.

Does it provide a campaign save?

The source records frames for its authored rewind and playback sequence. That is not a portable campaign export.
