We Become What We Behold.

We Become What We Behold is a short game about a crowd and the pictures selected for a news screen. You frame moments with a camera and watch the crowd respond as the sequence develops. The creator’s itch.io page is the original entry linked by the source repository. Its themes include escalating hostility and violence, so read the page’s content notice before starting.

Framing is the main action

You control which part of the crowd the camera records. Read the current feedback after taking a picture rather than clicking rapidly at every character. The game connects that choice to the sequence around you, so the response after the picture is part of the interaction, not merely decoration around the camera.

Expect the tone to change

The creator describes news cycles and vicious cycles. The work includes violence and escalating hostility. Review the original page before opening it with children, in a classroom or in a shared setting. This entry keeps later scenes undescribed so the relationship between the crowd and the screen can be encountered in the game.

Open the creator’s published version

The repository directs players to Nicky Case’s itch.io page. The former guessed ncase.me path was not used because it returns a missing-page response. The source is useful for credits and implementation, while the published creator page provides the current launch and content information. A code licence does not erase the separate credits for audio and rendering libraries.
