Pilot an anti-gravity craft through sharp corners, banked tracks and weapon pickups. The phoboslab rewrite puts the original WipEout racing experience in a browser, where learning the airbrakes matters as much as holding the throttle.

Availability, input, game data and saving are separate checks. An HTTP response or a window load event does not establish gameplay.
Fast futuristic racing with separate steering and airbrake inputs.
Choose a loading option
Open the author’s launcher. It offers a full resource set and a smaller option without intro and music.
Learn one corner
On the first race, concentrate on steering and the corresponding airbrake instead of using every pickup immediately.
Add speed and weapons
Once the craft responds predictably, practice thrust, weapon use and a view that lets you read the next turn.

Input / actionWhat it does
Arrow keys + XThe launcher lists arrow keys for steering and X for thrust. Learn a corner at a manageable speed before committing to full acceleration.
C / V airbrakesC applies the left airbrake and V the right. These are separate from ordinary steering.
Z / AZ fires a weapon and A changes the view, according to the launcher’s keyboard help.

The source site lists an embedded player. On-page embedding and startup on this site have not been verified. Source listing states: The full version is about 144 MB; the minimal version without intro and music is about 11 MB.
Steering alone is only part of the handling. An airbrake changes how the craft enters a bend, so a small early correction can be more useful than a long late input. Use one race to understand a difficult corner, then add speed once you can repeat the line.
Use the game launcher, not the model viewer
The author publishes several WipEout-related pages. The play link here is the wipegame launcher, while the development article explains the rewrite and links its source. A page that displays extracted models is a different demonstration and is not the race launcher.
Pick the resource set before waiting
The launcher distinguishes a larger full version from a smaller load without intro and music. Those choices concern assets, not an independently measured loading time on your device. Keep the game tab open while resources arrive and inspect its controls rather than assuming a similar racer’s bindings.
Author’s article and launcher controls checked November 6, 2026. A completed race and touch performance have not been independently verified.
05 / QUICK ANSWERS
WipEout questions
Where is the playable racing version?+
Use the wipegame link above. The author’s separate WipEout model viewer is not the racing game.
What do the airbrakes do?+
The launcher assigns C and V to left and right airbrakes, separately from the arrow-key steering.
Does this site host the game?+
No. The original author’s launcher loads the game. This page provides the controls, sources and launch link.
