MAZES, WAVES & SHORT ATTEMPTS
Compare maze chases, fixed-screen shooters and compact obstacle games. Each entry identifies the actual browser implementation and the controls it documents.

A PLACE TO BEGIN / Space Invaders
Its opening page explains keyboard and touch inputs, while the source provides a clear P-to-pause path. A first wave gives you a small place to practice movement and firing.
Meet Space Invaders ↗Space Invaders keeps movement on one horizontal axis. pacman-canvas asks for a route through junctions. Duck Hunt JS follows a pointer, and T-Rex Runner concentrates on takeoff and landing. A familiar game name is less useful than this input difference when choosing a comfortable next session.
These projects rebuild or adapt existing designs in different ways. Their pause keys, ghost behavior, touch controls and restart rules can vary from another version you remember. Follow the help on the linked host, then use its exact address when looking for support.
A pause screen, high-score table and saved campaign are different features. Most games here are continuous attempts. Read each entry’s progress panel before assuming a score display can reopen the middle of a wave, and retain the original code and media notices when inspecting a project.
THE OPTIONS AT A GLANCE
| Game | Why try it | Pace | Progress |
|---|---|---|---|
| pacman-canvas ↗Browser recreation | A maze chase with continuous motion and route decisions. | Real-time maze chase | The source contains score handling. A score table does not establish a resumable maze or cloud save. |
| Space Invaders ↗Browser recreation | A compact shooter with one movement axis and repeated firing. | Real-time arcade waves | No persistent campaign or save export is documented for this recreation. |
| Duck Hunt JS ↗Browser recreation | A pointer-based target game with short waves. | Real-time target waves | No persistent campaign save or export is established by this entry. |
| Digger ↗Browser recreation | A keyboard arcade game with compact, tile-like routes. | Real-time arcade | No campaign save or export is documented in the project README. |
| JavaScript Breakout ↗Browser recreation | A classic brick-breaking loop with keyboard or documented touch input. | Real-time arcade | No persistent campaign or save export is documented for this demonstration. |
| JavaScript Snake ↗Browser recreation | Short grid-based runs with keyboard or visible on-screen controls. | Real-time grid movement | No resumable-run or cross-device save is promised in this guide. |
| JavaScript Tetris ↗Browser recreation | A keyboard puzzle played against a continuously falling piece. | Real-time falling blocks | Persistent high scores and campaign saves are not documented features of this implementation. |
| T-Rex Runner ↗Browser adaptation | A running obstacle game with a small set of keyboard actions. | Continuous runner | Treat a score record separately from a saved live run. This guide does not establish campaign export or cross-device sync. |
| Missile Game ↗Browser recreation | A pointer-controlled flight challenge with approaching obstacles. | Continuous flight that speeds up | No persistent campaign or save export is documented in the reviewed project. |
